I understand that a conversion candidate at OZ should be of sound mind and independently desire to become a Jew.

I am prepared to:

Take classes on Judaism offered or directed by OZ clergy.
Meet monthly with an OZ clergy member for 12 or more months.
Study Judaism and / or Hebrew outside of one-on-one clergy meetings.
Engage in Jewish life and practice as a current (or future) member of OZ.
Attend OZ services, events and programs, and otherwise contributing to the OZ community to the best of my ability.
Have a mikveh (or hatafat dam briti if relevant), and give an Aliyah (say the blessings at a torah reading) and participate in a community celebration at the completion of their conversion.

In addition, I agree to:

Abide by the rules and bylaws of Ohavi Zedek.

* Program Cost

The OZ program fee is $360. If you have a partner, they may attend for this one fee. There is tuition assistance available. Note that tuition is due only if you and the Rabbi decide to move forward, after the initial meeting.
(Additional costs beyond OZ's $360 cost may include books and a fee for a mohel for the hatafat dam brit.)
